One Month to Go

We leave on July 13th, which is to say that we begin walking that day.  We get to Spain on the 8th, take a train to Pamplona on the 11th and a bus to Saint Jean Pied de Port the following day.

The Camino is something that you have to prepare for, so we’ve been walking long distances with backpacks for weeks.  So far this week, we’ve walked seven miles to or from work three times.  It’s only Wednesday.

So far we've each bought new backpacks and boots.  Next, we're going to inventory everything that we're going to carry and figure out if we have the right stuff--and not too much of anything.
